Antique Japanese Indigo Boro Patchwork Cloth

This is a rich and beautiful example of Japanese Mingei Boro Cloth.  It features indigo repairs with fabric that spans late Edo and Meiji Periods.  The base of the fabric is a wonderful katazome piece, and the patches comprise of a variety of styles of old indigo cotton pieces and ikat.   A collectors item.
